Alas, as with most literary journeys, my experience took a twisty turn, revealing BookBud.ai to be less a magic quill and more a fickle muse with an expensive taste for AI accents.

The Initial Allure of Bookbud AI: Words That Flow Like Wine

The writing process was fun and easy. I fed the AI my outline and let it weave its web. Chapters materialized at speed, sentences flowed like vintage Chardonnay. It was exhilarating! However, the lack of discovery features felt like a glaring omission.

I couldn’t delve deeper into research or explore alternative paths while writing. The AI, it seemed, preferred the well-trodden path. That made for a somewhat bland and impersonal book, however expertly wordsmithed it may have been in style.

Where BookBud AI Fails: Formatting Follies and Outline Frustrations

Then came the gremlins. Formatting errors abounded and I still had to go and check on paragraph spacing, separating lines from being just giant unreadable clumps of text. But what really gave me pause was the fact that the entire process seemed 2-dimensional.

Midway through, I realized I needed to restructure a few chapters. But alas, BookBud.ai doesn’t allow mid-stream outline edits. To implement even minor changes, I’d need to start all over, sacrificing hours of already-planned and written content, and credits.

So I modified it my best and ended up with a few chapters at the front of the book to which BookBud.ai failed to assign a chapter number. So they appear in my book as two phantom chapters, almost like 2 extra full-length introductions.

Fixing it would take more credits, which now, I’d have to pay for.

Or get an ePub software editor, which is on one of my to-do lists somewhere around here…

And yet, you don’t even know if you’ve got a successful concept to throw money at yet.

Book Bud AI: A Detour on the Author’s Road to Producing Income-Sustaining Books Online

BookBud.ai holds immense potential, but it remains unpolished and incomplete. The lack of discovery features, formatting snags, and restrictive outline editing all conspire to hinder the creative flow.

And Bo Bennett’s influencer offer feels more like a calculated sales pitch than a genuine gift. But don’t dare attempt to play “Let’s Make a Deal” that might benefit you both to see the maximum potential in his offer, because that might involve capitalism and that’s not on the menu these days.

So, while it might be a decent tool for rough drafts or churning out quick content, the dream of a complete, professional-grade ebook in two hours remains just that – a dream. For serious authors, BookBud.ai is currently more of a detour than a highway to literary success.

My advice? Take a deep breath, sharpen your real-life writing tools, and invest in platforms that offer true creative freedom and collaborative features. The AI muse can be a powerful ally, but for now, BookBud.ai’s magic needs a few more spells under its belt before it can truly write your story.

Additionally, to save money, you can just use Google Bard for AI writing. It might take a little more grunt work on your part to populate the chapters and sections, since Google’s Bard has some limitations with producing several long-form pieces of content consecutively, but my guess is old Bo Bennett’s BookBud AI is simply a website that does those extra few steps behind the scenes, relying mainly on ChatGPT to do the real work.
